BEHIND THE CURTAINS

Come and experience a fully staged rehearsal of a Cape Town Opera production, a fun, educational and interactive backstage tour, and an exclusive meet and greet session with Cape Town Opera company members! Through this new and exclusive package your group will not only see a working dress rehearsal, but get to go on stage and learn from the company members how much work goes into each incredible production.

BACKSTAGE TOURS

Take an educational and interactive backstage tour. All tours include insider stories and great tips, including which arias to listen for and behind-the-scenes information.

COMPOSER FORUMS

You will receive an invitation to the Composer Forums which are held prior to all our operas. Engaging discussions with Cape Town Opera’s staff, artists, directors, and more. These are usually accompanied by singers or members of the production.

EASY ACCESS, PARKING AND SECURITY

The Opera House & Theatre at Artscape is wheelchair-friendly, with plenty of parking and full security. All you need do is let us know in advance what your requirements are and we will be happy to arrange everything for you.

PROGRAMMES

The Cape Town Opera’s programmes are a perfect introduction and companion to a night at the opera. They include synopses, an assortment of articles by world-renowned experts in their field relating to the work, performance histories and biographies of artists involved.

The programmes are richly illustrated with images and include paintings, etchings and archival images as well as photos of the production and of artists in rehearsal.

ADDED BENEFIT

To make the most of your evening why not hire a private venue. The Artscape boasts several spaces for groups of any size to enjoy a private reception, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvers when desired, either pre-performance, during intermission, or following the performance.
