Mingle with the Cape’s chic, young professionals at the hottest spots in town. Expect to find yourself in the early stages of a relationship. One in which Opera makes the first move; intriguing but tentative in its affections it leaves you shy but willing to entertain further advances. You make the next move; you listen to the story, you start to respond and begin to appreciate. The third can go either way; but both parties are sufficiently invested in the outcome to get physical. You have to leave behind any and all stereotypes, and be willing to try it out for yourself.

You flirt with Opera, it flirts with you; there is a batting of eyelashes and an overload of the auditory senses, but in the end it is a performance not to be missed.

ENCORE is a membership program for both new and seasoned opera-goers in their 20s and 30s, who are interested in exploring and enhancing their enjoyment of our city’s vibrant performing arts company, Cape Town Opera.

Membership offers young professionals the opportunity to mingle with the “in-crowd” through events, good food and, of course, Cape Town Opera’s scintillating opera productions.

enc!re Opening Nights: Exclusive events for all Cape Town Opera Opening Nights.

These evenings will allow members the opportunity to park their car at one of Cape Town’s premier hotel destinations and meet fellow members for a Pre-Operatini. A complimentary hotel transfer will take them to the Opera House where the Red Carpet will be rolled out, setting the mood for an elegant evening of glamour and great opera. A return transfer will take them back to the hotel where they will get to enjoy decadent indulgent liquors & treats. (A cover charge will apply.)
