Cape Town Opera’s exciting Young Artists will perform a program of African sacred music that spiritually unites with the canon of Western church music and oratorio. By accompanying the repertoire with guitar and drawing on improvisatory aspects of Western baroque music in particular, CTO’s singers distill each work to its core message. Listen to these masterpieces and their texts freshly, through the voices of South African artists and the lens of traditional African song.
