Rossini’s exuberant coronation comedy was written to showcase the fourteen greatest voices of his time. The whimsical plot involves a motley group of European dignitaries who are stranded at a spa hotel en route to a coronation. CTO and UCT’s co-production will receive a witty and elegantly (choreographic) updating, as fourteen B-list celebrities find themselves stranded in a chic airport hotel lobby – expect vocal fireworks, ebullient arias and energetic finales!
